Frequently Asked Questions
Stairlift pricing depends on your staircase configuration — straight staircases are more affordable than curved installations. Contact Safeguard Stairlifts for a free in-home estimate with our digital measurement system. We serve all of Utah, Southern Idaho, and Southwest Wyoming.
No — our stairlifts are actually battery powered. That means you can keep using the stairlift during a power outage from a storm or any other cause. Our stairlifts only require electricity to charge the batteries, and a standard 120V wall outlet is all that's necessary. The batteries recharge automatically when power is restored, so you will never be stranded on the stairs during an emergency.
Our stairlifts mount directly to the treads of your stairs. There are absolutely no modifications or construction required to facilitate the installation. All we need is a standard wall outlet near the staircase.
Most straight stairlift installations are completed in a single visit, typically within 2-4 hours. Curved stairlifts may require a custom rail, which is precision-manufactured based on our digital measurements of your staircase.
We feature Handicare brand stairlifts, one of the largest manufacturers in the world, which are known for reliability, durability and value.
